Synopsis

At the beginning of this volume, Simon is on his horse still groggy blow which Maïlis carried to him on the head. He is in open country in the middle of nowhere and ends up falling from horse, but his foot and retained by a clamp. A group of wandering people (Caps) passes by there and discovers it. They take care of him and when Simon is better, it decides to accompany them until Chartres become place of pilgrimage. But before arriving in the old city (always in activity), they make a turning by a farm where Simon and the pilgrims take part in country life during the period of the harvest. He becomes acquainted with Émeline which will follow it in the following albums.
