Pig Destroyer

Pig Destroyer is a group of American Grindcore . Their single sound is characterized, amongst other things, by the low absence of , as by various the musical influences which they integrate into their compositions (Thrash metal, Doom metal…)

The group was formed in 1997, composed then of singer J.R. Hayes of Enemy Soil, of the guitarist Scott Hull of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and in the past of Anal Cunt, and of the beater John Evans. This last was then replaced by Brian Harvey.

The group chose its name with a certain conscience socio-policy. Knowing that to name " COP Killer" (" Killer of Policier") or " COP Destroyer" (" Destructor of Policier") would miss tact, they chose finally " Pig Destroyer" (" pig" being a pejorative word of American slang indicating the police force).
