Pig-headeds

Pig-headeds is a group French which mixes the modern music of Cirque, the Poésie, the Peinture and the Théâtre.

History of the group

The group was created in 1984 in Parisian suburbs, under the name of Red Ted. It takes the name of Pig-headeds in 1987, even if the very first discs of the group post the two names.

In the beginning, the group rather electric, is influenced by the punk scene. The arrival of AsGaëlle, traditional violoncellist of formation, on the third album ( the birds ) mark a turning in the musical universe of the group.

A serious voice accompanies a music wrongfully simplette with sometimes brutal texts and an omnipresent black humor. On scene they combine emotion, poetry, light, humor, intensity, a special musical color in a cordial environment of cabaret (between the alternative Rock, the realistic song and the ball haversack).

One could say that there is a mixture of Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens and a little of the green Négresses with a very coppered sound, acoustic and surrealist texts in a very subtle tone and of a richness seldom met.

Recognized by the specialized press, this group furrows the France and gives more than 200 concerts per annum in rooms of thousand people filled well.

Initially in reaction to the presence of Jean-Marie Le Pen to the second turn of the presidential elections, the objective is “to beat for our lives, and for all that can make them beautiful and merry: the freedom of going and installing us where we want; right to a decent income, that it is or not related to an employment; a housing where to live; the access to an health system of quality for all and all; the effective equality enters the men and the women; an intelligent use of all the resources of our planet; visibility and rights of all those and those which, among us, one calls “minorities”; freedom of movement of the knowledge, technological advances or scientists; art; social systems, policies, educational and economic with the service of the needs and desires for all and all; etc. ”
