Pietro Nardini is a Violon ist and Compositeur Italy N born with Leghorn the April 12th 1722 and died in Florence the May 7th 1793.
After having been the pupil of Giuseppe Tartini, it settles in Germany or it forms part, as of 1762, of the vault of the court of Stuttgart and where it becomes, the same year, Leader. However, it gives up its functions in the Wurtemberg as of 1765. He is then choirmaster of the large-duke of Tuscany to Florence starting from 1770. Among his disciples, one notes Bartolomeo Campagnoli.
In 1770 - 1771, friend of Leopold Mozart, it was pilot arrival of Wolfgang for its first stay in Italy, as well as its attempts to find there a position durable. It also becomes acquainted with the type-setter gipsy Václav Pichl, choirmaster near the archduke Ferdinand d' Este, governor Austrian of the Lombardy.
Works of Nardini belong to the “traditional” style; one counts inter alia six string quartets, six Concerto S for violin, like several Sonate S for this intrument. -----
