Pietro Faccini
Pietro Faccini da Bologna (Bologna, 1562? - 1602 or 1614) are an Italian painter of the school bolonaise of the end of the Maniérisme and incipient Baroque.
It makes its training near the brothers Carrache, Ludovico and Annibale.
Between 1593 and 1594 it takes its distances with respect to Annibale Carracci as show it works of the retables of the churches San Domenico and Santa Maria dei Servi and the Presepio of Pinacoteca Nationale of Bologna which shows the influence of Ludovico, in the Pellicani retable and the Madonna of the Rosary of the Inférieur quarter, of the explicit quotations of the work of the Corrège and Federico Barocci, in the self-portrait (maintaining with the Uffizi), of the influences which will bring the disintegration of the mannerism and anticipating the painting of the Settecento.
Annibale Castelli, Agostino Masucci, Domenico Maria Mirandola and Giovanni Maria Tamburini were of its pupils.
