Pierre raised from Poitiers

The Pierre raised from Poitiers , is a Dolmen in front of which then the Roman way Poitiers passed - Avaricum ( Bourges ) - Lugdunum ( Lyon ).

Jean Bouchet, the first in connection with the fairs of Poitiers emitted an opinion on the origin of the monument of the dunes.

A legend affirms that Sainte Radegonde would have brought the enormous block on its head and the pillars in its apron. Another explanation is given by Rabelais in the chapter of the Faits noble Pantagruel in its young age .
