Pierre of Luxembourg
Saint Pierre of Luxembourg is a cardinal (born in 1369 with Ligny-in-Barrois; died in 1387). It was wire of Guy of Luxembourg, count of Ligny-in-Barrois and Mahaut de Châtillon, countess of Saint-pol.
Losing his parents in low age, it is raised by Jeanne, countess of Orgières, her aunt. In 1377, one sends it to make studies with Paris, it obtains good performances there. He becomes canon of Paris in 1379 and Cambric canon in 1382
In 1384, it had been named bishop of Metz, in Lorraine, by the Antipape Clément VII which was supported by the Messin clergy, during the Great Schism of Occident. The emperor Venceslas Ier of the Holy roman Empire, in favor of the pope Urbain IV, made name Thielleman de Bousse. These conflicts for the direction of the episcopal see will involve engagements in Metz, Boulay and Thionville, without Thielleman de Bousse managing to make recognize its claims in Metz.
In 1386, it was named cardinal has Avignon and died ten months later, on July 2nd, 1387. It was buried with the Saint-Michel cemetery of Avignon
