Pierre of Geneva

Pierre of Geneva , died in 1392, was count de Genève of 1369 with 1392 and per marriage, count de Vaudémont and lord de Joinville of 1374 with 1393. It was wire of Amédée III, count de Genève, and of Mahaut of Auvergne.

Faithful vassal of the count de Savoie, it helped this one to fight the Milaneses.

In 1374, it marries Marguerite de Joinville (1354 † 1418), countess of Vaudémont and lady of Joinville, but they will not have a child. He appears in Vaudémont in two charters, one of 1374, the other of 1375. He paid homage to the count de Bar the April 26th 1376.

Four years later, his/her brother Robert of Geneva is elected pope in Avignon (under the name of Clément VII ) in competition with the Pape of Rome Urbain VI, opening the Great Schism of Occident and Pierre will spend the last years of his life to be fought.

In 1381, it is one of the chiefs of the troop that Amédée VII, count de Savoie, sends in Italy to help Louis I {{er}} of Anjou to conquer the Royaume of Naples.
