Pierre de Vendôme
Pierre de Vendôme , (born towards 1200 - died the March 25th 1249 with Nicosie, on the island of Cyprus, during the Seventh crusade), was count de Vendôme of 1240 to its death.
It belonged to the Maison of Montoire and was the son of Jean IV of Montoire, Seigneur of Montoire, count de Vendôme and of Églantine of Palluau.
He married Jeanne de Mayenne, girl of Juhel III of Mayenne, lord of Mayenne, and had with her four children:
- Bouchard V, count de Vendôme of 1249 with 1270.
- Jean, lord of Fresne
- Geoffroy, lord of the Chartre-on-the-Dormouse
- Mathieu, abbot of Saint-Denis.
It accompanies Saint Louis in Croisade and dies in Cyprus the March 25th 1249.
