Pierre de Miroschedji
Pierre de Miroschedji is a Archéologue French, which are director of the French Research center of Jerusalem since the December 3rd 2004, and Research director at CNRS.
Pierre de Miroschedji directs, since 1980, the excavations of Tal Yarmouth (25 kilometers in the south-west of Jerusalem). In addition to its professional publications, it is, for the general public, in the review Research , the author of an file-interview on recent work of the archeologists in Israel
The goal is double:
- to give a progress report on very important results which remain largely been unaware of general public,
- to specify the consensus which exists, in the archeologists, on burning subjects.
Pierre de Miroschedji, also, signed eleven articles of the Dictionnaire of Antiquity , under the direction of Jean Leclant, published in 2005 by the university Presses of France, of which the article “Palestine. ”
