Pierre de Marbeuf
Pierre de Marbeuf (1596 - 1645) is a poet Baroque French of XVIIesiècle.
Born with Sahurs, it makes its studies with the college of the Arrow and saw with Paris 1619 with 1623. He studies the right in company of Descartes. Author of sonnets baroques and the Collection of worms , it implements the topics of nature, of the brittleness of the life and the love.
He is in particular the author of With Philis , a sonnet baroque which associates with virtuosity the topic of water with that of the love, in particular by using the respective lexical fields of these topics: He will be also Master of National Forestry Commission, which can explain the recurring presence of nature in its work. It is a poet using the comic and pathetic register enormously. Known tardily, he is appreciated not only for his qualities of poet but also for his satirical talents.
Works
He publishes in 1618 a Christian Psaltérion and settles in Normandy. In 1628 one publishes his Recueil of worms , in 1633, Portrait of the statesman and the Miracle of the love .
