Pierre de Livingstone and Stanley at Mugere, Burundi, 12 kilometers of south of the Bujumbura on the lake Tanganyika, mark a place where the explorer and missionary David Livingstone and the explorer and journalist Henry Morton Stanley visited and spent two nights over 25- November 27th, 1871, 14 days after their first historical meeting with Ujiji.
