Pierre de Jélyotte

Pierre de Jélyotte is a Chanteur and Compositeur French born with Lasseube (Yrénées-Atlantiques) the April 13rd 1713 and dead the October 12th 1797 with Estos.

Formed with the Song with Toulouse, it begins with the Concert of sacred music from Paris in 1733 and is committed the same year with the royal Académie of music.

Rameau writes for him its principal airs of High-against. Starting from 1739 ( Dardanus ), he is the principal partner of Marie Fel in the majority of works of the Master.

At the court, it holds the first violin with the vault and the violoncello at Madam de Pompadour. It is pensioned in 1780 with the title of veteran of the Music of the king .

A college bears its name in its birthplace as well as a cultural center to Oloron-Holy-Marie.
