Pierre de Dashka
The stone of Dashka , also known as “chart of the creator” , would be a stone representing a chart of the Siberia years - 120.000.000, allegedly discovered in 1999 by the team of Doctor Alexandre Chuvyrov, of the University of Bachkirie, at the time of a programme of study on the Chinese migrations in Siberia. This stone, testifying to very developed systems of irrigation which would tend moreover to allot to the current river Balaya an artificial origin, would be a testimony of the presence of a civilization advanced on Earth 120 million years ago. The only source concerning this discovery is a article published in the Russian daily newspaper Pravda the April 30th 2002.
The article of the Pravda
According to the article of the Pravda of April 30th, 2002, the team of Doctor Alexandre Chuvyrov would have discovered in 1999, on a stone, a chart representing Siberia in three dimensions. This stone would roughly weigh a ton for 1,48 meter height on 1,06 meter broad, and would be made up of three layers. According to the studies carried out, it would be of artificial origin (unknown tools of utmost precision, excluding cutting) and “would very precisely represent the area of Bachkirie of 120 million year ago” but very developed systems of irrigation (which would tend to allot to the current Balaya river an artificial origin). Always according to this article, of the elements of the stone of Dashka would have been studied by the Historical Center of Cartography of the Wisconsin, which would have concluded from it, inter alia, that only air statements would have allowed the tracing of this chart.
Polemics as for the veracity of the discovery
The absence of reference frame of comparison
The detractors of this discovery put the fact in particular ahead that there does not exist means of knowing has what resembled precisely the area 120 million years ago… Consequently the expression “very precisely” used by the article would be without value, since there does not exist reference frame of comparison.
Polemic as for the reliability of Alexandre Chuvyrov
The site of the University of the Russian Republic of Bachkirie (see external bonds) indicates that Alexandre Chuvyrov is doctor in physics and sciences mathematical. It does not seem to have of doctorate in a field related on the History or archeology. It currently directs the faculty of technical physics. Its research tasks relate in particular to the materials (crystals, metals, glass anti radiations) and physics applied, its study of the chart of the creator is apparently his only publication in the field of the History.
Polemic as for the Historical Center of Cartography of Wisconsin
The center in question does not seem to exist (no Center off Historical Cartography in Wisconsin). One can think that it is about a bad translation, because there exists a History off cartography project (project of History of the cartography) within the department of geography the University of Winsconsin, with Madison. Nevertheless, no mention of the stone or Alexandre Chuvyrov is made there.
