Pierre Veltz
Pierre Veltz (1945 -) is a Professor French, specialist in the organization of the companies and the dynamic territorial ones.
Biography
After its exit of the Polytechnic school and School of the Bridges in 1969, Pierre Veltz worked with the Departmental management of the Equipment of North, then with the SCET, where it undertook studies in the fields of the city planning.During the Years 1980, it directed research to the National school of the Highways Departments, while contributing to the creation of ten laboratories. During the Nineties, it created and directed the LATTS, multi-field laboratory of social sciences being interested in particular in the transformation of the companies and the territorial structures (ENPC, Université of Marne-the-Valley]], CNRS).
It, during this period, developed itself consultance and research tasks near industrial large companies on sets of themes of organization of the production, management and management. He also worked with the DATAR, where he controlled the groups of futurology on the localization of the companies and the territorial economy.
Of 1999 at end 2003, he was director of the ENPC. It in particular launched there the merger plan between the School of the Bridges, the École des Mines of Paris and ENSTA. It also chaired ParisTech, federation of the 11 principal Parisian schools of engineers, having vocation to transform into large technological university Francilien.
Pierre Veltz is researcher associated with the Center with sociology with the organizations. He is the author of many works (see low) and articles.
He is currently director of the Institute of the High Studies of Development and Town and country planning Europeans (IHEDATE)
Teaching and research
With the ENPC, the courses of Pierre Veltz relate to the organization of the companies on the one hand, the dynamic territorial ones of the other. Pierre Veltz also teaches in Sciences Po in a master of town planning. Its research covers two often disjoined fields: transformations of the strategies and especially of the organizations of the firms, committed in the movements of internationalization, and the dynamic ones of the territories, on various scales. It is also interested of close with the process of globalisation of higher education.
