Pierre Thouvenot

Pierre Thouvenot (born the March 9th 1757 with Toul, dead the July 21st 1817 with Orly) is a Major general French.

Artillery captain, named the 1792 directing of the foundry of Indret. Little time after, Charles François Dumouriez stuck it in the capacity as general adjudant supernumerary and made of him the chief of expeditionary staff of the army of Holland. After having deserted with Charles François Dumouriez, it remains in Germany, until 1800, returned then in France, took again its place with the army and was named general in 1804.

Distinctions

  • It belongs to the 660 personalities to have its name engraved under the Triumphal arch of the Star. It appears on the 30e column (the Arc indicates THOUVENOT ).
