The sculptor Hungarian Pierre Székely was born with Budapest in 1923. He died in Paris in March 2001.
He lived since 1945 in France. One can meet a hundred of his monumental works everywhere in France, but one also finds some in his native land, Hungary, like in England, in Austria, in Portugal, in Canada, in India, in China and in Japan.
He also excelled in the prints, the drawing and the Peinture with the wax. He also carried out a few hundreds of small sculptures of private collection.
In 1978 it receives the Grand Prix of Biennial International Arts of the Street.
Its art is neither abstract, nor figurative, but “expressive”. Its works express an intense harmony with the universe and the human nature in all its richness.
