Pierre Stroobantsd born with Tourinnes-the-Gross the May 2nd 1924, deceased with Tourinnes-the-gross the August 21st 1980 is a Belgian Politician and a Walloon militant.

Culktivator and agronomist, Pierre Stroobants was the president of the agricultural professional Unions of the the Walloon Brabant and sat of this fact to the central Conseil of the economy. Member of the Federal council of Walloon Rénovation in 1968, it is this year also that it joined the Walloon Rassemblement. He carries out the list of the Senate with Pierre Rouelle and is elected senator by the provincial Council of the the Brabant following the elections of March 31st. He affirms solemnly in 1969 the membership of the Walloon Brabant in Wallonia. He is senator elected directly in 1974 and 1977. In 1970, he becomes burgomaster of Tourinnes-the-Gross: he will remain with the head of this commune of 1970 to 1976. In 1977, he refuses the turning on the left suggested by Paul-Henry Gendebien and joined PRLw with François Perin and Jean Gol. He is designated as First alderman dfe Beauvechain after fusions of communes.
