The captain Pierre Sergent (1926 - 1992) was a French soldier and a chief of the secret armed Organization (OAS).
He begins his military career in the maquis at the 17 years age, then follows a career of officer in the Foreign legion after a passage to Saint-Cyr-Coëtquidan. At its exit of the ESM in 1949, it is affected with the 1st regiment foreign, in Saïda (Algeria). Lieutenant, it fights with the 1st foreign regiment parachutists during the Guerre of Indo-China (1951-1953), where it is seriously wounded, then as captain during the Guerre of Algeria within the same regiment (1958-1961), after having been affected with the 1st foreign regiment in 1956. After the failure of the putsch of Algiers in April 1961, it passes to the OAS of which he became the chief for the metropolis (OAS-subway).
During seven years, he escapes police research while he is condemned to death in absentia twice. He is finally amnestied after the events of May 1968.
