Pierre Schapira

Pierre Schapira is a Politician French born the December 10th 1944 with Algiers in Algérie.

Biography

Of profession Dental surgeon, it entered to the Socialist party the Seventies. He is president of the financial Audit Board of the PS since 1998.

Member of the Economic and Social Council of 1984 with 2004, he was vice-president of 1999 with 2004; he was the representative with CNIL.

Near to Lionel Jospin and Daniel Vaillant, he was operations manager with his cabinet at the Minister of education Main road of 1988 with 1992, then belonged to his team of countryside at the time of the presidential elections of 1995 with 2002.

At the Town of Paris

To advise of Paris since 1995, it is since 2001 assistant of the mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë, in charge with the international relations and the francophonie since 2001. He is in addition mayor-assistant of the {{IIe}} district, in charge with the trade, the craft industry and the independent professions.

He is in addition responsible for the commission “consumption citizen and person in charge” of the network Euro-cities, which gathers European cities of more than 150.000 inhabitants.

European deputy

Pierre Schapira was elected European Député the June 13rd 2004.
