Biography

He was already beginner at the convent of the Dominicain S in 1563. One noticed at the house of Saint-Jacob of Paris the promptness of his spirit, his facility of elocution and the distinction in his manners. Master be arts in 1574, it studied theology, assisted at the general meeting of her kind with Rome in 158 3 and made assess its beautiful qualities. On its return, he taught theology, was elected general vicar of the Congrégation of France which it defended with convicition and success of any suspicion of complicity with the assassin of Henri III; the confidence of Henri IV had; found, with the expiry of its load, its pulpit of theology to the convent of Saint-Jacob, of which he was also prior; came with the same title to Laval, 1593 - 1594, and was seen elected general vicar in again 1602. He died in this load, with Paris, or Laval, according to the Abbé Berset, the January 19th 1606, without to have had time to publish the works about which the Cross of Maine already spoke in 1584. He left in deposit with his death, at the lady Charlotte de Martainville, prioress of Saint-Aubin of Gournay-in-Bray, a covered leather cassette, containing some linen, and 25 doubled blooms of Spain of each one 4 spray and 196 ecus of gold. On this sum, it had 30# in favor of the priory of Gournay, to have books of song, and 2.000# for the foundation of its birthday to the convent of Laval.
