Pierre Meunier
Pierre Meunier , born on August 15th, 1908 with Dijon, and deceased with Arnay-the-Duke on April 16th, 1996, is a French politician, member of the French interior Résistance and companion of Jean Moulin.
Biography
Before the Second world war, he is executive secretary of Pierre Cot, Minister for the air (June 1936). It is there that it meets Jean Moulin.During the occupation, when Jean Moulin is charged to unify the various forces of resistance, Pierre Meunier will be her representative in Paris. It is in particular in charge of the contacts with the National front.
It is him which is charged to organize the first meeting of the National council of Resistance, in the month of May 1943, street of the Furnace in Paris.
In 1946, it directs the cabinet of the vice-president of the council Maurice Thorez.
