Pierre Louki

Pierre Louki (born Pierre Game preserve the July 25th 1920 and deceased the December 21st 2006), is an actor and singer French. Wire of Georges Game preserve, communist teacher of Yonne died in deportation with Auschwitz (see its biography in Maitron). Man of the maquis, clock and watch maker, it practiced the theater in Auxerre before going up to Paris to the beginning of the year fifty.

He was initially actor, meeting in Paris Roger Blin and Jean-Louis Barrault in the Années 1950. Thus he played in While waiting for Godot , put in scene by Roger Blin. In parallel, he wrote songs, and made known himself as of 1954 with the kid with the buttons , sung by Lucette Raillat.

One owes him some 200 songs, interpreted by itself, but especially by Lucette Raillat, Catherine Sauvage, Francesca Solleville, Isabelle Aubret, the Brothers Jacques, Juliette Gréco, Jean Ferrat, Philippe Clay, Colette Renard, Annie Cordy… He was a friend of Georges Brassens which composed some musics besides to him.

Its style, poetic and eccentric evokes Boby Lapointe.

It received the price of the Académie Charles-Cross-country race in 1972, and in 1999, SACEM decreed to him its Prix Andre-Didier Mauprey.

Pierre Louki was also made know as author and interprets plays, created on scene or broadcast by France-Culture. On television, it took part in many emissions of Jean-Christophe Averty. He is also the author of many books for children.
