Pierre Lime
Pierre Lime of Champeaux (1755-1817), tradesman with Nantes before the Revolution, had gone bankrupt on several occasions. The Revolution gave the opportunity to him to reconstitute its fortune. Since 1791, it touve in possession of secularized goods, two houses downtown, three properties in the neighbouring campaigns. Under the Revolution, it gummed the part of its patronym which evoked the Ancien Mode. This néo-stoical was especially a racketeer. Thinking head of the revolutionary Committee of Nantes, it was most attentive to make return the money: it is true that it made use of it for empierrer the driving way with the one of its properties! It was also characterized by its venality, its lack of scruples and humanity which it had very little or with delayed-action. As of June 1793 the embezzlements start. Decree, considered and discharged, it lived withdrawn on its property. Pierre Chaux was made call Socrate Chaux.
