Pierre Landais (1430 - 1485) is the main thing adviser of the duke François II of Brittany, which lets it control the Brittany.

He is the child of rich person clothiers of Vitré. He enters to the service of the duke as servant of wardrobe of Brittany, then becomes treasurer and general receiver of Brittany. He encourages the middle-class, printing works and the bookstore because it is before all one of these middle-class men nouveau riches in the trade, tested and ambitious, that one then saw often rising in the favor of the princes.

In 1477, it makes stop its rival Guillaume Chauvin, chancellor. In 1480, it creates the Université of Nantes.

The Almighty of 1481 to 1485, it tries to marry Anne of Brittany to the duke of Orleans. He makes transfer Guillaume Chauvin to the dungeon in 1481. This one dies the April 5th 1484 of the lack of food and ill treatments, which causes a Coup d'etat against him the June 25th 1485, carried out by part of the nobility. He is shown of misappropriation and of died of Guillaume Chauvin.

Judged and condemned, Pierre Landais is hung on July 19th, 1485 in meadow of Biesse with Nantes.

He had made rebuild for his mother an old manor, Boiscornillé, had located at the Valley-with Izé, close to Glazed.
