The admiral Pierre Lacoste , born the January 23rd 1924 with Paris, is an officer and a French senior official. He was in particular chief of the military cabinet of the Prime Minister French Raymond Barre and managing director of DGSE.

In 2005, it was charged to structure the profession of the economic Intelligence in France, and it became in 2006 president of the Federation of the professionals of the economic intelligence.

Biography

It is with Audresselles, close to the Cape Gray-Nose where, child, it spends his holidays that it feels the attraction of the sea and decides to become sailor.

During the Second world war, he escapes from France occupied in 1943, and joined the French forces in North Africa.

Graduate of the Naval college, it starts a brilliant career of naval officer, in particular in Indo-China.

After several commands of ships, it is named in 1975 assistant of the chief of the military cabinet of the Minister for Defense.

One year later, it directs the University of naval war.

In October 1978, he becomes chief of the military cabinet of the Prime Minister French Raymond Barre.

In September 1980, it receives the command of the Escadre of the Mediterranean. He is managing director of DGSE of November 10th 1982 at September 19th 1985, date on which he is dismissed because of the business of the Rainbow Warrior.

Of 1986 with 1989, it chairs the Foundation of the studies of national defense (FEDN). In 1989, he is the president of the National committee of connection “Defense - Army - Nation” for the civic Information center. In September 1993, it Co-chairs the Center of scientific studies of defense (CESD) of the Université of Marne-the-Valley, where it creates a multi-field seminar of research on “the French Culture of information”.
