Pierre Joseph To brake , born with Paris the October 9th 1718 and died in Paris the February 15th 1784, is a Médecin and Chimiste French.
Chemistry teacher and of pharmacy to the Botanical garden of Paris and member of the Academy of Science, Macquer is known especially for his opposition to Antoine Lavoisier. He introduces with the Manufacture of Sevres in 1768 the manufacture of the Dresden china. Its works were a long time texts of reference.
He is the brother of Philippe Macquer, historian.
