Pierre Ier , born in 1311, died in Poitiers in 1356, was duke ''' of Bourbon ''' of 1342 with 1356.

It was wire of Louis I {{er}}, duke of Bourbon and count of Walk, and of Marie d' Avesnes.

It made its first weapons in 1341 under the orders of the duke of Normandy, the future king Jean II of France and fought in Brittany, then into full war. It allowed in particular to the French applicant Charles of Blois to take possession of the duchy.

In 1346, it fought with Crécy and was wounded there. In 1355, it was sent in the Languedoc with the title of general lieutenant of the king, and achieves his mission successfully. It fought with the Bataille of Poitiers and was killed there, by making rampart of its body in front of its king.

He married in 1336 Isabelle de Valois (1313 - 1383), girl of Charles of France, count de Valois, of Alençon, of Chartres, of Anjou, of Maine and Mahaut of Saint-pol.. They had eight children:
