Pierre II of Russia
Pierre II of Russia (October 23rd 1715 - January 29th 1730) was emperor of Russia of 1727 with 1730. Wire of Alexis Pétrovitch (1690 - 1718) (1st tsarévitch, wire of Pierre Ier Large the and of Eudoxie Lopoukhine) and of Charlotte of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel (1691 - 1715).
Indicated like heir to the throne by Catherine Ire, Pierre II becomes Empereur on May 8th 1727. Too much young person to personally direct the government, it leaves the capacity to the hands of the family Dolgorouki, which takes the opposite course to the policy followed by Pierre Ier and Catherine. Pierre II passes, as for him, under the authority of Menchikov, former adviser and friend of Pierre Ist.
Under its reign, measures are taken to reinforce the control of the magistrature, to regulate the use of the tickets of exchange, to prohibit with the clergy the port laic clothing and to reinforce the role of the Sénat.
Pierre II is crowned on February 24th 1728 with Moscow. Been engaged to Catherine Dolgourouki, he dies of the small pox on January 19th, 1730.
