Pierre II of Brittany

Pierre II , born on July 7th 1418, dead on September 22nd 1457 with Nantes, duke of Brittany of 1450 with 1457, wire of Jean V, duke of Brittany, and Jeanne de France.

Biography

Then count of Guingamp, it fights against the English in Normandy in 1449 and 1450 with his brother the duke François Ier of Brittany, and his uncle the constable of Richemont and takes several cities, among which Coutances, Saint-Lo and Fougères. He becomes Duc, with died of François Ist. This one not having wire, following the provisions of the 1st treaty of Guérande (1365) which disadvantaged the girls, designated his/her Pierre brother preferably in his own daughters, Marguerite and Marie, to succeed to him. Pierre II made continue his assassins of different sound brother, Gilles.

But there was no child of this marriage. His/her uncle Arthur de Richemont succeeded to him under the name of Arthur III.
