Pierre Gobert

Pierre Gobert (Fontainebleau, 1662 - Paris, 1744) was a French painter.

He is the son of the sculptor Jean II Gobert. He is received with the Royal Académie of Painting and Sculpture the December 31st 1701 as a portraitist.
He became the painter preferred of the great ladies of the court to the fine reign of Louis XIV as the big number of portrait of those shows it which he carried out. He represents them with their advantages under the features of important figures of the Mythologie.
