Pierre Fabre , born the April 16th 1926, is a pharmacist castrated which created a great pharmaceutical group, the Laboratoires Pierre Fabre after having developed the active ingredient veinotonic of the Ruscus aculeatus (Petit-houx) starting from 1947, plant abundant in the area castraise. Its laboratory was founded in 1961, and it made fortune in this industrial sector. It is the richest person of the Midday-Pyrenees, which makes work approximately 9.000 paid. Faithful to its area, the majority of its factories are located in this city or in the neighborhoods.

He also created a foundation to defend the children of the third world against the traffickers of false drugs (the Foundation Pierre Fabre)
