Pierre Dubuc

Pierre Dubuc (born the May 25th 1947) is the director and the editor association of the aut' newspaper , a monthly magazine trade unionist.

The July 20th 2005, it announced its intention to enter the race to the leadership of the Parti Québécois to replace Bernard Landry, the outgoing chief. It launches out in the race in the name of the SPQ Libre, from which it received its support unanimously the August 15th 2005, and confirms its candidature the September 7th 2005. He is the seventh candidate, since the withdrawal of Hugues Cormier. At the time of the provincial elections of March 26th, 2007, Pierre Dubuc was candidate with the nomination of the Parti Québécois in the district Groulx of the Low-Laurentides . However, it is Rachel Gagnon which was chosen by the militants pequists.

Candidate in the race with the cheffery of the Left Québécois in the name of Free SPQ, it asks for his militants the November 8th to give their second voice to Pauline Marois, and the November 15th, loses finally the election with 1,22% is the 5th position with 1282 votes whereas André Boisclair is elected with a majority of 53,68%.

Biography

Since 1984, he is director and editor association of the aut' newspaper , monthly magazine which he founded. He is also director of the review the apostrophe .

In 1996, it took part in the foundation of the Chaire of socio-economic studies of the UQAM, of which he was the director during two years.
