Pierre Drink

Pierre François Boisson (1894 - 1948) is a former French colonial administrator, general governor of AEF and AOF.

Biography

Wire of teachers, old combatttant and mutilated First World War, Pierre Boisson integrates in February 1917 the colonial École where he is the major of his promotion.

It directs French equatorial Africa from September 3rd, 1939 to August 28th, 1940, then becomes the general governor of French Western Africa of June 1940 in June 1943.

Rejoined to the Mode of Vichy, he is opposed, at the time of the Bataille of Dakar in September 1940, with the attempt at unloading of the allied forces led by the Général de Gaulle.

In November 1943 he is convened before the commission of purification. Thereafter he is accused by the military tribunal of Algiers, is revoked without pension and returned at his place. However, the shortly after the war he again sees himself notifying the criminal charge of national unworthiness. Condemned by the High court of justice in July 1948, it dies shortly after.
