Pierre Drevet (1664-1738)

Pierre Drevet , born with Lyon in 1664 and died in 1738, is a French engraver.

He studied with Paris under Girard Audran and was allowed in 1707 with the royal Académie of painting and sculpture. He engraved the portraits of many figures of his time, such as Louis XIV, Boileau, François Girardon, the cardinal Fleury. He was the friend of the painter Hyacinthe Rigaud, whom he knew in Lyon and with which he came to Paris.

His/her son Pierre Imbert is also a famous engraver.
