Pierre Dhainaut

Pierre Dhainaut (1935 -) is a Poète and a writer French.

The texts of Pierre Dhainaut, with the passing of years, oscillated more and more between two complementary forms: the Poem in short, near to the Haïku, and the fuller poem. Flow and backward flow, but always, of the one with the other, simplicity and vigilance, fray of gratitude or consent, vis-a-vis the world - with the wind, the stones, the sea - increasingly acuter.

Biography

Born on October 13rd 1935, to Lille, in the Northern , wire of teachers, it passes all his childhood and its adolescence in the working city of Armentières. Surrounded by a certain greyness, it finds refuges: the garden, the Ardennes of its holidays, a little northerner countryside…

In 1946, it discovers Dunkirk and the sea. In class of fifth, its French professor makes known to him Victor Hugo and poetry. Double revelation.

In 1956, it meets Jacqueline, whom it marries in July 1957: the love which opens with the Other. They settle close to Dunkirk. They will move several times, but will remain close to the Dunkirk shore.

1959: they are the beginnings Surréalistes and André Breton meets it. In 1960 - 1961, he is professor with the college of Dunkirk. It maintains many contacts with surrealist poets. The hesitation gradually will be shown between the Surréalisme and another way, indicated by Jean Malrieu, whose influence will be capital.

1971: other meets decisive: Bernard Christmas. The writing is constantly questioned. The violence of the search culminates between 1970 and 1977. It will end up turning the back on surrealism. The crisis is untied. In parallel the search for one crowned without theology takes place, which is accompanied by an interest growing for the history by the religions and spiritualities - in particular the zen Buddhism and the mentality of the Dogons. The poet attends also painters. He writes many critical articles, parallel to his poetic activity. He collaborates with painters or engravers, in collections with limited pulling.

The voyages in France are numerous. Various areas (the Burgundy, the Causses, the Auvergne, the Aubrac, Saint-Pierre-with-Chartreuse, especially…) its mental universe by their landscapes and their monuments marks.

Work becomes more alleviated: celebration of the world and search of oneself walk on in concert. I: a trace hardly, a hardly written obliteration, a writing perpetually questioning, an act deprived of any narcissism.

Pierre Dhainaut continues his writing and takes part in conferences and conferences…
