Pierre Dasypodius , grecized of Peter Rauchfuss , schoolmaster to Swiss Frauenfeld in , then professor of Greek with Strasbourg, died name in 1559.
Biography
Its name was Rauchfuss , which meant in German hairy foot, it changed it into Dasypodius , which in Greek with the same significance. One called it in Strasbourg to occupy there the pulpit of professor of Greek published a Greek, Latin and German dictionary, Strasbourg, 1554, in-8°, and another Latin and German, often reprinted. He published oldest Dictionnaire Greek-Latin-German , Strasbourg, 1534, in-8.His/her son is Conrad Dasypodius.
