Pierre Daninos
Pierre Daninos (born the May 26th 1913 with Paris; deceased the January 7th 2005 in Paris) is a French writer who known a planetary success in 1954 with Notebooks of the major Thompson .
Biography
Veteran of the Second world war, it knows all the pangs of the Bataille of France until Dunkirk where it is liaison officer with the British army. After the armistice and the capitulation, it is exiled with the Brésil in Rio where it publishes its first novel: the Blood of the men (1940). Of return to Paris, he attends the literary circles without forgetting his profession of pre-war period: journalist.Its greater success remains the Notebooks of the Major Thompson (1954) exploiting the existing shift between the France and the England. Daninos develops the concept of Major Thompson in four other volumes between 1955 and 2000.
In June 1967, Pierre Daninos escapes from little from dead following an automobile accident. It remains a long time in the coma, which provides him the argument for its work the Pyjamas (1972).
Among its other works, let us announce certain Mr. Blot (1960), the type of Average Frenchman which pass from anonymity to the celebrity by gaining a contest aiming at indicating the ideal Average Frenchman…, and the works satyric like Jacassin (1968), the Gallery of the ices (1983) or France in all its states (1985), without forgetting the delicious Carnet of the good god (1948).
His/her brother Jean is the industrialist who created the luxury cars Facel Vega.
