Pierre Clémenti

Pierre Clémenti (Paris September 28th 1942 - December 27th 1999) is a Acteur and Réalisateur French. Pierre Clémenti played or directed, in 38 years of career, (in) nearly a hundred films. The play of actor will enable him to go beyond the words. It follows first of all the courses of Charles Dullin, of the Ecole of dramatic art of the Vieux Dovecote and the Center of the street Blanche to Paris, then taken its first steps with the Théâtre in “It is necessary to pass by the Clouds” under the direction of Jean-Louis Barrault, then joined the troop of Marc' O (Bargasses, Idols…). Mainly known for its talent of movie actor, he worked with the French realizers (Michel Deville, Philippe Garrel, Jacques Rivette, etc…) and foreigners (Bernardo Bertolucci, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Shine Bunuel, Luchino Visconti, Glauber Rocha etc). He played sides of actors like Catherine Deneuve, Burt Lancaster, Michel Piccoli, Alain Delon, Klaus Kinski… Cinéaste, he carried out some films between 1967 and 1988. Artist of a remarkable and prestigious talent, Pierre Clémenti refused commercial pursuits and an easy glory for which its physique of young first intended it. There caused admiration by its daring choices and its intense play and will remain one of the most outstanding figures of the modern cinema of the years 1960-70. Its films as a author-realizer were taken again recently in DVD. It also published a book in 1973 (republication in 2005) " Some messages personnels" , true indictment against justice and conditions of imprisonment; testimony which recalls also essential episodes. Author of a play " Chronic of a delayed death " that he interpreted itself. He dies at the 57 years age of a Cancer.
