Pierre Berbizier

Pierre Berbizier is a Rugby man French born the June 17th 1958 with Saint-Gaudens (Haute-Garonne).

Career

Originating in Fucked and old half of fray formed to Lannemezan (Hautes-Pyrénées) it played Lourdes and Agen and carried 56 times the shirt of Blue (11 times captain).

He knew his first international cape with the Équipe of France of Rugby to XV the January 17th 1981 with Paris against the Scotland and his last against the England the May 16th 1991 with Twickenham (match lost 21-19).

He is captain of the XV of France which takes part in the first World cup of Rugby in 1987, competition where France loses against the New Zealand finally, after having beaten the team of Australia at her in semi-final in one of the greatest matches of the history.

End 1991, he will become also trainer of the Équipe of France which will take part in the World cup 1995.

In April 2005, it is named trainer of the team of Italy to replace John Kirwan. It leaves its station at the conclusion of the world cup 2007 (replaced by the South-African Nick Mallett) to become to manage Racing Métro 92 (Pro D2).
