Pierre Barouh

Pierre Barouh is a Auteur-compositeur-interprète French born the February 19th 1934 with Paris.

Very early, he discovers the Brazilian song, and in particular the Bossa nova, so that he decides to leave to the Brésil.

Of return in France in 1966, it takes part in the film a man and a woman of Claude Lelouch. Actor of film and type-setter of the original soundtrack, his success is enormous. He benefits from it to propose the talent of the others, by creating his own label, Saravah. Within this label, it wishes to mix the musicians and the styles, to multiply the musical meetings. He works in particular with Pierre Akendengué, Brigitte Fontaine, Areski Belkacem, Naná Vasconcelos, Gerard Ansaloni, Jacques Higelin or Alfred Panou.

In the Years 1980, it takes part in musical projects with the Japan. The two discs ( Pollen and Sierra ) will have little success in France, but make it possible Pierre Barouh to discover a country with which it falls in love, and where it decides to settle. It also opens an office of Saravah there.

Since, it shares its life between Japan and the Vendée. It continues to leave the albums, to carry out films and documentary, and to write plays. The label Saravah as for him is today under the responsibility of his/her Benjamin son.
