Pierre Attaignant
Pierre Attaignant (or Attaingnant), is a Compositeur, a Luth ist, a Imprimeur and a editor French established with Paris (towards 1494 - towards 1551).
In 1528, it develops a process allowing the impression carried and notes in only one operation. He is the first French to publish music and obtains in 1538 the title of bookseller and printer of the king.
The collections which it publishes compose of Tablature S for instruments with keyboard and for Luth, of transcriptions of vocal music, Prélude S etc Although several of its collections are various type-setters, it devoted five of them to only the Clément Janequin, and with Josquin of the Meadows.
It is mainly its work of editor who makes it take part in rise instrumental music within the framework of the Musique of the Rebirth.
