Pierre Ajame
Born the February 5th 1939, Pierre Ajame is essential initially like literary criticism and critical cinema on the Nouvelles arts persons . In 1967, it publishes a test on the film Critics (Flammarion) in the collection “the Lawsuit of the judges”. The same year, it is pointed out by the maintenance of Prévert which it obtains for the New arts persons (February 23rd, 1967). In May 1971, it publishes its first paper in Nouvel Observateur on the cinematographic festival of Hyères. It publishes there also some articles of company (be 1971). But its collaboration, episodical and discontinuous until June 1978 - it does not publish any paper in 1972 and 1974 for example - is limited especially to measuring rods of literary and cinematographic criticisms.
It does not leave however a side its passion for the cartoon and the cartoon. In 1976, it thus draws a portrait from Chaval in a book of discussions with the draftsman (Alice Chêne editions). It is made even occasional scenario writer of cartoon. But it is not for this talent that he is engaged with New Adam where he weaves bonds with Claude Perdriel. This last then seeks to make it come to the Nouvel Observateur but the hostility of the drafting delays its arrival. Thus, whereas it is committed in January 1978 and collaborates intensively in the literary pages until the middle of February, it suspends any collaboration until June 1978, month when it is named Editor association - assistant in load of the Lettres pages - Arts - Spectacles. If Guy Dumur remains officially the chief of the heading, it is him which “makes turn” the service with the assistance of Jean-François Josselin and Marion Brücker even if the presence of Jean Daniel in this field remains considerable.
Very large friend of daN Franck, it seems to him “the man more cultivated, more shining, freest among all the smokers of cigar”.
He publishes besides with daN Franck of the works of musicology signed under the pseudonym of Marc Kajanef, anagram of their two names, the Year of the music (1978-1979) at Stock (1979) and Johann Sebastian Bach at Mazarine (1981). With his colleague Marion Brücker, it directs also a collective work on the 300 heroes and characters of the French novel (Balland, 1981).
The years 1980 see it carrying more importance to painting. In 1984, it thus publishes the double life of Salvador Dali at Ramsay and the following year, a book on the dairy one of Bordeaux according to the table of Francisco Goya /(ED. difference, 1985). Mad Tintinophile, it devotes the last years of its life to write a biography of Hergé, published three years after its death at Gallimard (1991).
