Pierre-Yves Artaud , born the July 13rd 1946 with Paris, is a Flûtiste traditional French.
Biography
First price of flute and chamber music of the Conservatory of Paris, it carries out triple career of concert performer, researcher and pedagog.A long time soloist with the Ensemble 2e2m, of which he was the artistic director of 1994 with 1997, he is called in 1981 by Pierre Boulez with the direction of the Workshop of instrumental research to the IRCAM, which he directs until in 1986.
Large interpreter of the contemporary repertory, it causes and creates many works (Gilbert Amy, André Boucourechliev, Franco Donatoni, Brian Ferneyhough, Sofia Goubaïdoulina, Klaus Huber, Betsy Jolas, Michael Levinas, Paul Méfano, Emmanuel Nunes, Luis of Pablo or Yoshihisa Taira).
Professor of flute and Chamber music to CNSMDP and the Teacher training school of music of Paris (private school), Pierre-Yves Artaud gave many Master class are (in Europe as in Asia, in particular with the Japan).
Author of several teaching treaties of which Flutes at the Present on the Modes of play, he also teaches the Didactique with CNSMDP.
It obtained several rewards, the such prices of the Académie Charles-Cross-country race which it received three times, the Grand Prix of interpretation of the French music of today of SACEM (1982), the Japanese Grand Prix of the disc (1984) and the price of the teaching realization of the SACEM (1998).
