Pierre-Paul Renders

Pierre-Paul Renders is a Belgian realizer born with Brussels the July 17th 1963. It lived there of 1989 to 2001, but it is originating in Montigny-the-Lime, in the area of Charleroi. He currently lives with Hennuyères (between Hainaut and the Walloon Brabant, to 35 km of Brussels). He is married and father of Louise, Simon and Gustave.

Set on old languages (Latin and Greek), it finished into 84 a license and aggregation in traditional philology with catholic Université of Leuwen (Leuwen-the-New). By interest for creation and the audio-visual communication, it enters then the Institute of Arts of Diffusion - IAD - of Leuwen-the-New where it obtained a diploma of realization in 1989.

Like realizer, he worked so much into documentary than in fiction, for television as for the cinema. In fiction, he is the author of Tenderness, one among " The Seven Capitaux" Sins; , own-produced Belgian collective feature-length film in 1992 by AA Belgian Films, a company created with his/her comrades of promotion of the IAD: Frederic Fonteyne, Yvan the Monk, Genevieve Mersch, Beatriz Flora and Pascal Zabus.

In 2000, it leaves its first feature-length film fiction in solo " Thomas is amoureux" product by Diana Elbaum (Between Dog and Wolf) on a scenario of Philippe Blasband. The film will be selected and preceded in Venice in 2000, will collect various prices around the world and will be distributed in 17 countries (of which Canada, the USA, Japan, South Korea, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Norway, Greece, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Israel, Brésil…)

In 2005, it carries out " Like everyone " , new feature-length film on a personal scenario Co-writing with Denis Lapière and always produced by Diana Elbaum, (Between Dog and Wolf).

He is the author of various documentary and films of assembly for Doctors without borders Belgium (between 96 and 98), of which Misleading Sommeil, documentary 52 minutes on the disease of the sleep in Angola, coproduit and diffused by the RTBF. He also carried out several short scientific institutional VRN for European commission (DDB Focus Europe)

Since 2004, it supervises exercises of writing and realization for students in Master at the Institute of Arts of Diffusion of Leuwen-the-New. It gives at the time of the training courses for actors vis-a-vis the camera (Parallax, Ipso Facto, Chantiers Wandering, Comedien.be…)

In parallel, since 1990, he is chronicler and critical cartoons for the Newspaper of the Doctor.
