Pierre-Mathieu Duhamel is a French politician, born on November 17th, 1956 in Boulogne-Billancourt.

He is elected mayor (UMP) Boulogne-Billancourt by the Municipal council in March 2007, after the resignation of the Senator-mayor Jean-Pierre Fourcade (mayor of 1995 to 2007). He was city council man (RPR) of 1995 to 2001, then mayor-assistant (UMP) in charge of youth, the school businesses and the culture, since 2001.

Pierre-Mathieu Duhamel is prize winner of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris and graduate of the ENA (1981, promotion Human rights).

Professional path

  • June 1981: Civil administrator at the Management of the Budget of the Ministry for the Economy, Finances and the Budget.
  • August 1987: Adviser technical with the Cabinet of the minister in charge for the budget, then in 1988, to advise common to the Cabinet of the Minister of state, Minister for the Economy, Finances and the Privatization and with the Cabinet of the Minister for the Budget.
  • November 1988: Managing director of the services of the department of the Hauts-de-Seine
  • May 1991: Assistant editor of the Cabinet of the Mayor of Paris.
  • May 1992: Director of Finances and the Economic affairs of the Town of Paris
  • May 1995: Assistant editor of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister Alain Juppe
  • Mars 1996: Managing director of the customs and rights indirect.
  • May 2000: Minister Financial Adviser with the French Representation with OECD
  • December 2002: Director of the budget of France to the ministry for the Economy, Finances and Industry.

Pierre-Mathieu Duhamel was also General secretary of Louis-Vuitton-Moët-Hennessy and professor to the Institut of Political Studies of Paris. He is since April 2006 President of the Directory of Financial Océor (Savings banks Group) and Director near the Presidency in load of the internationalization of the Savings bank Group

Town councilor

He presents himself in 1995 to the town hall of Boulogne-Billancourt on the RPR list of Paul Graziani (mayor of 1991 to 1995), and becomes city council man of opposition, before joining the majority of center-right quickly carried out by Jean-Pierre Fourcade. He is fellow candidate of Jean-Pierre Fourcade at the time of the elections of 2001 and becomes mayor-assistant then.

After its election unanimously of its majority at the municipal council in March 2007 (46 votes out of 46), he announces that it wishes to be a mayor of full-time Boulogne-Billancourt, without cumulating of another elective function, and announces his wish to be represented with the town hall of Boulogne in March 2008.
