Pierre-Julien Brodeau de Moncharville

Pierre-Julien Brodeau de Moncharville , grandson of Julien Brodeau, and oldest son of Julien Brodeau (death in 1702), honorary adviser of the large room of the Parliament of Paris.
It was useful in the navy, became general inspector of the fortifications, and died the October 18th 1711, without leaving posterity. He had married, the January 21st same year, Brodeau, his cousin, last kid of the elder branch of this family; she was girl of Jean Brodeau lord of Candé, of Vaugrigneuse, marquis of Châtres, close Montlhéry, large Master of National Forestry Commission of France and captain of huntings of Touraine. This marriage joins together the titles of the two branches of this antique family, and Pierre-Julien Brodeau took then the title of marquis de Châtres.
He published various works:
- Proof of the existences and new system of the universe, or Idea of a new philosophy , Paris, Jose, 1702, in-8°. It is an indigestible mixture of prose and worms.
- Plays of spirit and memory , Paris, 1702;
- Morality curious over the first six days about creation, Turns, 1703;
- New handsets of spirit and memory , Lyon, 1709, in-12; new edition, 1721, in-12. This last work was published under the name of the marquis de Châtres. In the literary France , Mr. Quérard, misled by this title, made two characters of Pierre-Julien de Moncharville, marquis de Châtres.
