Pierre-Jean Mariette

Pierre-Jean Mariette , born with Paris in 1694 and died in Paris in 1774, is a engraver, bookseller, historian of art and collector of French prints.

Part of its collection was bought by Emmerich Joseph de Dalberg, and constitutes the initial core of the cabinet of graphic art of the museum of Hesse with Darmstadt.
