Pierre-Henri Tavoillot

Pierre-Henri Tavoillot is a French philosopher (born in 1965). University lecturer in philosophy at the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), President of the College of Philosophy, member of the Council of Analysis of the Company and deputy manager of the collection " The New college of philosophie" (Grasset).

After studies of history and political science, it passes the aggregation of philosophy (1992) and supports a doctorate at the University Paris-Sorbonne (1996) on " Kant and the quarrel of the Lights, Pantheismusstreit and the destiny of the rationalisme". Its work concerns the philosophy of the Lights, ethics and contemporary political philosophy, in particular on the educational questions and the ages of the life. He was member of the National council of the programs (1994-2004) and adviser with the cabinet of the Minister for state education (2000-2002).
