Pierre-Henri Manor house , born with Paris in 1963, is a Chercheur and Psychanalyste French.

Former student of E.N.S. Ulm (received in 1982), aggregate of Philosophy, doctor of philosophy and doctor in Clinic psychology and pathological, it is in charge of research to CNRS (Institut of history and philosophy of sciences and technology - Université Paris I - National university) and at the Research center Psychotropic, Mental health and Company, (CNRS INSERM - Université Paris V).

In the capacity as psychoanalyst, he is member of the international Association lacanienne.

He is the author of a Web site devoted to the philosophy of the spirit applied to the history and the epistemology of the Psychopathologie, Psychiatrie and Psychanalyse.

Work

Pierre-Henri Castel is interested in particular in the epistemological analysis of the psychoanalysis, his criticism, and in particular in the great theses erected scaffolding by Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan and Wilfred Bion. He tries to take into account in an impartial and rigorous way all criticisms of epistemological nature (Grünbaum, Popper, Borch-Jacobsen), but also of historiographic nature, in order to propose viable and lucid answers, in defense of the psychoanalysis. In philosophy and history of sciences (social sciences and mental medicine), it defends of the theses not-naturalists, close to Wittgenstein, and criticisms with regard to the positions contemporary cognitivists, as well as a historical form of epistemology or history of sciences " with the française" inherited Canguilhem, but opposite on many points with Foucault.
